Beef finishing has been a part of the Jefferis farm since 1875. From early beginnings farming beef cows, to finishing prime steer, bull beef finishing has been the cattle grazing system since the 1980's.
All bulls are purchased at 4 months old and sold from 18 - 22 months age. Bulls are grass fed only, and antibiotic free. Bulls are farmed for their superior weight gain compared to steer or beef heifers. Bulls are grazed intensively under a rotational grazing system. Careful planning including pasture management, and animal health, has ensured target live weight's are achieved.
